Local gardening writer Sue Bradley will be describing the community composting scheme in the revived Amateur Garden magazine. Several allotment holders gathered to describe how they used the compost and what it has meant for their allotment plots. Above all free unsieved compost provides an incredible mulch for allotment growers . “No-Dig” gardeners said that the “No-Dig” method, that enhances Life in the Soil and helps create fabulous vegetables, was only made possible because of the availability of BCCS’s free exceptional mulch material – and on site.
