We are celebrating our 15th birthday. Yes, Bisley Community Composting Scheme is now 15 years old! We still have two of the founding directors, Lesley and Liz, and this autumn we welcomed Martin Brown to the board.
Membership secretary Hazel baked us this lovely birthday cake, fittingly decorated with worms!
Keeping the fertility and goodness local is most important, the scheme has done brilliantly at doing this and spreading the message to others.
Thanks Roger and glad you are doing the Home Composting! Did you hear Charles Dowding this morning on Radio GLos? Lots of allotment holders doing it now – hence the world shortage of cardboard so I hear!!
Amazing work on the composting and yummy looking cake!
Lovely. I love the worms! Very talented baking Hazel.
Thanks Kat and Garden Organic for all the help on Master Composters
Happy Birthday!
Bisley Community Compost is a marvellous thing. It’s provided compost for 3 huge raised beds at Stroud Train Station. Could not have filled those beds without you. You are an inspiration!
AH thank you Josie – helping compost the Station Edible Beds was a pleasure – but you did all the really work!!
The Parish Council wishes BCCS a very happy birthday following a successful 15 years!
How fantastic is this, happy birthday and congratulations on your success x
Thanks Amanda – we’ve been so happy to help Vale Community Hospital Allotment Project – another wonderful project
Belated 15th birthday congratulations to all at Bisley Community Composting Scheme – lovely cake, Hazel! Perfectly epitomises all that the Scheme encourages – I rejoice every time I see brandling worms colonising my compost bins. Thank you for all your hard work and continued success for the future.
