The BCCS Directors have endorsed Bisley with Lyppiat Parish Council Climate Action Campaign and will support local climate action initiatives where we can. There has been increased interest in community composting and home composting from local climate action groups working in Stroud and elsewhere. We have been helping with advice and encouragement both by telephone and with ‘zoom” sessions. Whilst our research into carbon sequestration is temporarily stalled it will continue once COVID releases its grip. It is heartening that the importance of compost added to our soils and its effect on climate mitigation is increasingly recognised.
