Gloucestershire Biodiversity Week is back for 2025 from 22nd May to 31st May (we know it’s longer than a week!). The week promotes action across the county to protect biodiversity and connect habitats.

For actions see Local Answer April 2025https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/greener-gloucestershire-dashboard/useful-information/campaigns/current-campaigns/biodiversity/biodiversity-week-2025/biodiversity-week-

This year, we are focussing on soil health and composting. πŸ›πŸžπŸπŸŒΌπŸ„

Soil is essential for growing food, storing carbon dioxide and supporting biodiversity, but it is often overlooked. The week hopes to highlight why soil is important and how you can improve soil health in your local spaces.

From composting, no mow verges, hedgehog holes and wildlife ponds to growing your own food there is loads you can do to help biodiversity. 😊🌳🐝
