BCCS shared Village Fete Stalls in Bisley, Oakridge and Eastcombe with Bisley Climate Action Network. Composting and community compost helps to keep carbon in the soil, especially if you follow No Dig Gardening practice and so support the aims of BisCAN. BisCAN’s theme in 2023 is Nature Friendly Gardening and composting – with its emphasis on living healthy soils – clearly is an essential ingredient encouraging wildlife. Several visitors to the stalls spoke of their home compost heaps hosing slow worms and grass snakes as well as worms of course!
